ஆங்கிலேயர் காலத்தில் அதிகாரி வின்லோ, கள்ளிக்குடி மக்களைத் தவறாக நடத்தியவரின் மீது எடுத்த நடவடிக்கை, வழங்கிய ஆணை மற்றும் மாவட்ட ஆட்சித்தலைவர் பாவாலி பாளையக்காரன் பற்றியும் இக்கல்வெட்டு கூறுகிறது. இக்கல்வெட்டு கள்ளிக்குடியில் உள்ள சிவன் கோவிலில் உள்ளது.

இக்கோயிலின் பிரஸ்தரப் பகுதியின் மேல் பகுதியில் 'அதிசூரன் சதாசேர்வை' என்ற இரு சொற்கள் கொண்ட கல்வெட்டு ஒன்று காணப்படுகிறது. இவ்வாக்கியத்திற்கு 'நித்திய ஊழியம்' என்ற பொருள் உள்ளதாக அறிஞர்கள் சிலர் கருதுகின்றனர்.

Additional Information

This inscription states that during the British period, Officer Winlow took action against those who misbehaved with the people of Kallikudi, issued an order, and mentions the District Collector Pāvāli Pālayakkāran. The inscription is located in the Sivan Temple at Kallikudi.

Above the Prasthara part of this temple there is a two word inscription that reads 'Adhisūran sadhāsērvai'. Certain scholars are of the opinion that the inscription refers to some sort of 'permanent employment'.
