இயற்கையாக அமைந்த இந்தக் குகைத் தளத்தில் சிவப்பு மற்றும் வெள்ளை நிறப் பாறை ஓவியங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன. சிவப்பு நிற ஓவியங்களில் அடையாளப்படுத்த முடியாத பெரிய கோடுகள் இரண்டு இடத்தில் வரையப் பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இவ்விடத்தில் காணப்படும் பிற சிவப்பு நிற ஓவியங்கள் மங்கிய நிலையில் காணப்படுகின்றன. வெள்ளை நிற ஓவியங்களில் காணப்படும் சில மனிதர்கள் கையில் ஆயுதங்கள் ஏந்திச் சண்டைக்குத் தயார் நிலையில் இருப்பது போன்றும் காட்சி இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.

மற்றொரு பாறை ஓவியத்தில் காணப்படும் மனிதன் ஒருவன் வளரி அல்லது அரிவாள் போன்ற ஆயுதத்தை ஓங்கிப் பிடித்துள்ளான். இவற்றோடு வெண்மை நிறத்தில் சில விலங்குகளும் வரையப்பட்டிருக்கின்றன. இக்குகைத் தளத்தில் மூன்று வெவ்வேறு காலக்கட்டங்களில் வரையப்பட்ட ஓவியங்கள் காணப்படுகின்றன. அவற்றுள் சிவப்பு நிறத்தில் வரையப்பட்ட ஓவியங்கள் அதிகப் பழமையானவை என கருதப்படுகிறது.

Additional Information

Red and white paintings are found in a naturally formed cave called Mangulip Pudavu, located on a hill near Moonandipatti. Two areas feature bold red lines; the rest of the red paintings are faded. The white paintings depict people fighting, with some holding weapons—including one man grasping what appears to be a boomerang or sickle. Animals are also painted in white. These cave paintings date from three distinct periods. Among them, the ones painted in red are considered to be the oldest.
